Keep a remote parent's knee injury history in one ChatGPT project

WorkedEvidence: Described by posterPosted Last checked

Gabriel Elizondo used ChatGPT with a Pocket recorder to hold a parent's knee injury timeline and prep appointment questions.

Beginner-friendlyNo logins, payments or coding needed. Low risk: paste the prompt and you should get something useful.

How to use this

  1. Tap Copy prompt.
  2. Open ChatGPT.
  3. Paste it into the message box.
  4. Send it, then read the answer before acting on it.
New to this? What's a prompt?

A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

Prompt

Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

This project holds everything about my mom's knee injury. Add the summary from today's call to the timeline. Then explain in plain words what the doctor meant, compare it with what the previous doctor said, and give me a short list of questions for the next appointment.

Try this in:

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

These links are only a shortcut. We're not affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or xAI, and your results may not match the source.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Keep one running record of a parent's medical issue and prepare for each next step.

Questions to ask me first:
- What happened today (call, visit, test)?
- Which doctors are involved so far?
- When is the next appointment?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Today's notes or transcript: [PASTE / FILE]
- Care team: [DOCTOR NAMES / ROLES]
- Next appointment: [DATE]

Rules:
- Keep the timeline dated and in order.
- Mark differences between doctors as questions, not conclusions.
- No diagnosis or treatment advice.

Checkpoint: Show the updated timeline before the comparison and questions.

If you get stuck: If a transcript is unclear, quote the unclear part and ask me.

Verify before you finish: Every timeline entry has a date and source (call, visit, letter).

Output: An updated timeline, a plain-language explanation, and 3–5 questions.

Done when: I can answer 'What did the doctor say?' from one place.

Outcome

Journalist Gabriel Elizondo, an only child living 3,000 miles from a 78-year-old mother, used three tools after the mother's knee injury: a Hey Pocket recorder captured calls and, with permission, appointments; ChatGPT held the running chronology in a project chat; and Wispr Flow let Elizondo dictate questions. The chat built up a full timeline from the ER visit through orthopedic follow-ups, so Elizondo could ask what a doctor meant, what changed between the first and second doctors, and what to ask next, and could send the mother a summary on request.

Evidence: Described by posterThe person describes what happened in words, without screenshots or video.

Context: Recordings were made with the parent's and clinicians' permission. Hey Pocket and Wispr Flow were used alongside ChatGPT; neither is credited as the AI that did the task. The author's site is an AI project.
