A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Write a short, fun recap of last night's episode of [SHOW] for my daughter, who is at summer camp and can't watch it. Keep it to one page, avoid spoilers beyond this episode, and end with a line from me. This will be printed and mailed as a letter, so use plain text with no links or formatting.

Try this in:

This prompt has blanks to fill in, like [SHOW]. We'll copy it instead of filling it in, so you can edit it before you send.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: A daily letter that keeps my child at camp up to date on a favorite show.

Questions to ask me first:
- Which show, and when does it air?
- How old is your child, and how long should each letter be?
- How will the letter be printed and mailed?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Show and air time: [NAME, TIME]
- Child's age: [AGE]
- Letter length: [E.G. ONE PAGE]
- Mailing service: [E.G. LOB VIA MAKE.COM]

Rules:
- Recap only the latest episode.
- Keep the tone warm and age-appropriate.
- Plain text only, ready to print.
- Add a short personal sign-off from me.

Checkpoint: Show me the first letter before the daily schedule starts.

If you get stuck: If you can't find details of the episode, say so instead of making them up.

Verify before you finish: Each recap matches the episode that aired the night before.

Output: One printable letter per day, sent on schedule.

Done when: My child gets a recap letter for every episode during camp.

Outcome

When Thomas (Josh) Thephasdin's daughter went to camp, the girl wanted daily updates on a favorite TV show that aired every night, but the camp only accepted letters. Rather than handwrite one every night, Thephasdin built a Make.com workflow that runs at a set time each day, asks Claude for a recap of the previous night's episode, and sends the text through Lob's API to be printed and mailed as a letter. Every late morning a new letter went out, and the recap reached camp a few days later. Thephasdin has since used a similar workflow for websites that send cancellation letters for gym memberships and rental notices to landlords, where only physical letters are accepted.

Evidence: Described by posterThe person describes what happened in words, without screenshots or video.
