Prompt
These are the person's own words, as shared in the source.
Can you plan me an RV trip from Minneapolis, MN, with two full days at Yellowstone and two full days at Glacier National Park? It should be a round trip, leaving SUNDAY [Date] and returning SATURDAY [Date]. We'd like to camp at locations with full hookups and make stops at fun destinations along the way. No more than six hours of driving per day.

Optional stronger version
Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.
Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish. Goal: Plan a multi-week RV loop with realistic driving days and campgrounds I can book, and flag anything to double-check. Questions to ask me first: - Where do you start and end, and what are the must-see stops? - What's the daily driving limit, and what hookups do you need? - How big is the RV, and does the kitchen have a full setup? Inputs (fill in or confirm): - Start and end: [CITY] - Must-see stops and days at each: [STOPS] - Dates: [START DATE] to [END DATE] - Daily driving cap: [HOURS] - RV length and hookups needed: [RV / HOOKUPS] Rules: - Keep every driving day under the cap, and show the hours for each leg. - Suggest 2 campgrounds per night that fit my RV length and hookups, with links. - Note seasonal closures and fire bans that could affect meals and activities. - Plan meals that don't depend on campfires. Checkpoint: Show me the route and daily drive times first so I can adjust before you choose campgrounds. If you get stuck: If a leg can't fit under the cap, suggest an extra stop instead of a long day. Verify before you finish: Recheck each leg's drive time and the total days against my dates. Output: A day-by-day table with drive times, campgrounds, activities and a list of hours to confirm. Done when: Every day fits the cap, and I have campgrounds to book for each night.

Outcome
Jennifer A Singer used AI to plan a two-week round-trip RV loop from Minneapolis with two full days each at Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, full-hookup campgrounds and no more than six hours of driving a day. Claude couldn't keep up with the travel logic and at one point tried to send the family home from Glacier in a single day. ChatGPT and RightBlogger mapped the route, kept to the six-hour cap and suggested stops. Singer double-checked drive times and found a few off, one by an hour, and edited them. Campground picks were spot on at 7 of 9 places; at one buggy site next to train tracks, the family left early and found a site near Devils Tower that became a highlight. Some activity hours were outdated, and a campfire-heavy meal plan was ditched by week two.

Known limitations
PartialThe source says it only partly worked, or had a significant problem a person had to deal with.
What went wrong: Claude failed at the route, a few ChatGPT drive times and activity hours were off, and the meal plan was ditched by week two.
