Write client content in brand voice with Claude projects and skills

WorkedEvidence: Article or interviewPosted Last checked

Alex Cohen's marketing firm now uses Claude for 80% to 90% of its AI work, with a skill that strips overused AI phrases.

How to use this

  1. Tap Copy prompt.
  2. Open Claude.
  3. Paste it into the message box.
  4. Send it, then read the answer before acting on it.
New to this? What's a prompt?

A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

Prompt

Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Here's our client's brand voice guide and three past posts they loved. Write a new blog post on the topic below in that same voice. Avoid the overused AI phrases on our banned list, and ask me questions if anything in the brief is unclear before you start.

Try this in:

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

These links are only a shortcut. We're not affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or xAI, and your results may not match the source.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Write client content in the client's brand voice, without the stock AI phrases we've banned.

Questions to ask me first:
- Who is the client and who reads this piece?
- What format and length do you need?
- Which past pieces best show the voice?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Brand voice guide: [UPLOAD OR PASTE]
- 2–3 approved past pieces: [UPLOAD OR PASTE]
- Banned phrases list: [PHRASES]
- Brief: topic, goal, length and call to action: [BRIEF]

Rules:
- Before drafting, summarize the voice in 5 bullet points and ask me to confirm.
- Push back if the brief is vague or conflicts with the brand voice, instead of just agreeing.
- Never use any phrase from the banned list or stock phrases like it.
- Don't invent facts, statistics or client claims; mark anything that needs a source.
- Keep it to the requested length and format.

Checkpoint: After the voice summary and an outline, stop for my OK before writing the full draft.

If you get stuck: If the past pieces disagree on tone, ask which one to follow.

Verify before you finish: Scan the draft for banned phrases and unsupported claims and list any you fixed.

Output: The voice summary, the outline, then the draft with any claims needing a source marked.

Done when: The draft reads like the client and needs only light edits before it goes out.

Outcome

Alex Cohen, 42, runs Xander Marketing, a small firm in Kent, UK, that writes a lot of content for brands. Given the same prompt and context, Claude got closer to what Cohen envisioned on the first try than ChatGPT did, and captured clients' brand voices better. The firm now uses Claude for 80% to 90% of its AI work and about 5% each for Gemini and ChatGPT. Cohen built a co-CEO in Claude's projects tool as a strategy sounding board, and the team built a writing skill into Claude that removes overused AI phrases they flag, so drafts land closer on the first try. Content the firm once gave to a copywriter now goes straight through Claude. ChatGPT is still used for images, since Claude doesn't generate them, and as a backup when Claude goes down.

Evidence: Article or interviewA newsletter, journalist or interview account of what happened.

Context: Cohen also says Claude goes down fairly regularly, so the firm keeps ChatGPT as a backup and for images.
