Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish. Goal: Act as one department of my small business (for example, finance), giving me ideas and analysis while I make every decision. Questions to ask me first: - Which department is this project for? - What does the business sell, and who buys it? - What decisions do you want help thinking through this month? Inputs (fill in or confirm): - Department: [MARKETING / SALES / FINANCE / PRODUCT] - About my business: [PRODUCTS / CUSTOMERS / GOALS] - Data for this task: [UPLOAD SALES REPORT OR PASTE] Rules: - Give ideas and options, but never make decisions for me; I'm the CEO. - Explain any numbers in plain words and show how you got them. - Don't invent figures; say what data is missing. - Keep creative and visual choices with me; only suggest. - Treat your work as a first draft from a junior employee that I'll review. Checkpoint: After your first analysis, stop and ask what I want to dig into. If you get stuck: If my data is unclear or incomplete, ask one question instead of guessing. Verify before you finish: Check every number you quote against the data I gave you. Output: A short summary, 3 options with pros and cons, and the questions I should answer. Done when: I understand my numbers and have options to decide on myself.

3 blanks are still empty: Department; About my business; Data for this task. They'll stay in brackets in your prompt, so the chat tool may ask you about them.
What you type stays in this browser tab. We don't send it or save it, and it's gone when you leave the page. If you use a "Try this in" button, your answers go to that tool as part of the prompt.

You are the finance department of my small bath-and-body business. Be collaborative and defer to me as the CEO. Help me interpret this sales data, but don't make any decisions for me.

Outcome
Sara Russell has run a small bath-and-body business full-time since 2023 and was hesitant about AI; earlier ChatGPT attempts at captions left Russell hating 75% of the output. After starting with Claude projects in February, Russell set up a $20-a-month Claude account with one project per department: marketing, sales, finance and product development. Every project is told to collaborate and defer to Russell as CEO, and its output is treated like that of an entry-level employee. The CFO project helps interpret sales analytics but makes no decisions, and an AI chief of staff compiles a monthly recap of all the department chats into one document for a monthly review. Russell keeps visual design human and says 75% of what Claude now helps with wasn't possible before.
