Get an insurer to reissue a held-up claim check by filing a DIFS complaint with Claude's help
After a car crashed into one of Travis Biziorek's Detroit rental houses, the insurance payment got stuck: the public adjuster Biziorek had hired wanted about $5,000 more than their contract and held the check when Biziorek wouldn't sign off, and State Farm refused to reissue it to Biziorek alone. Claude advised filing a complaint with DIFS and walked Biziorek through it. Two days later State Farm emailed to say it had reissued the check, which arrived 10 days after that. Biziorek says the payment still doesn't cover repairs and lost rents.

Dimitri Sudomoin's $1,166 robot mop failed under warranty. After eleven weeks of 'forwarding this to our technical team', the company refused to honour the warranty and offered a final 46% partial refund. Claude's first idea, a federal warranty law angle, looked weak, but reading the terms of service it found the company's own arbitration clause: under the rules of the forum the company picked, Sudomoin's filing cost was capped at $250 and the company would bear the rest of the fees. Three days after Sudomoin filed, the company offered the exchange it had previously refused. Sudomoin describes this one as still in play.

Two months after moving out, with no deposit back, a tenant in Kuala Lumpur gave Claude their lease, messages, move-out photos and repair receipts. They say it pointed to a 30-day return obligation, drafted a factual demand email citing the lease clauses, helped them challenge deductions (RM 1,750 claimed for floor damage versus an RM 250–400 market rate) and drafted a housing-board complaint. They recovered the full RM 2,400 in about 2 hours of work over three weeks.

A Hacker News commenter who had circuit-level power monitoring set up at home was analyzing bills when they mentioned voltage problems to Claude. They say it put together a packet documenting brownouts down to 95v and routine dips below 110v, and helped them fill out a Board of Public Utilities complaint form. Two days later the utility, JCP&L, called; they say they still need to call back to ask for a larger transformer.
