A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Read yesterday's time log, last night's notes, my calendars and today's task list. Plan today with the most important task in my first block, and on Sundays compare where my hours went this week with the values I've written down and suggest one small change. Save every recommendation to a file.

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

The source used Claude Code, which can take actions on your computer or in a browser. These are general chat tools, so results may differ, and a normal chat may only give you a plan.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: A daily plan and a weekly review based on how I actually spend my time.

Questions to ask me first:
- Where do your time logs, calendars and tasks live?
- What values or goals should the week be measured against?
- What may the assistant change on its own, and what needs your approval?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Time log: [APP OR SPREADSHEET]
- Calendars and tasks: [CALENDAR, TASK APP]
- Values and goals: [LIST]
- Working hours: [START–END]

Rules:
- Save every recommendation to a file before acting on it.
- Only change my inbox or calendar from a plan I have approved.
- Put the most important task in the first free block.
- Make one small change a week, not a full overhaul.

Checkpoint: Show today's plan before adding anything to the calendar.

If you get stuck: If the log has gaps, say which hours are missing instead of guessing.

Verify before you finish: Weekly totals add up to the hours in the log.

Output: A daily plan, and on Sundays a short table of hours by area plus one suggested change.

Done when: My week moves a little closer to how I said I want to spend my time.

Outcome

Brandon Pearce, who runs four companies, has logged every minute since December 2017, about 79,000 entries, and this year moved the spreadsheets into Well Lived, an app Pearce built and has in beta, with Claude Code on top. Each morning Claude Code summarizes the inboxes with a recommendation per email, then reads yesterday's log, notes, calendars and ClickUp tasks and puts the most important task in the first block; inbox changes can only run from a saved plan file and need Pearce's Mac password. On Sundays it compares where the hours went with stated values and makes a small change. When the log showed music had dropped to about 12 minutes a week, seeing that number each Sunday prompted a change, and the last three weeks averaged 7.7 hours. Early on, Claude Code acted from its memory of a long conversation and drifted, so Pearce would save every recommendation to a file from day one.
