A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Here is the transcript of my voice notes from a home inspection, recorded area by area. Write the first draft of my inspection report in my report format, section by section, with each finding written in a professional inspector's voice. Don't add any finding I didn't mention, and mark anything unclear for me to check.

Try this in:

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: A first-draft inspection report from my on-site voice notes that I only need to review.

Questions to ask me first:
- Which sections does your report use?
- Can you share a past report as a style example?
- How should unclear notes be marked?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Transcript: [VOICE NOTES BY AREA]
- Report format: [SECTIONS, E.G. ROOF, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING]
- Style example: [PAST REPORT]
- Job details: [ADDRESS, DATE, CLIENT]

Rules:
- Only include findings I actually mentioned.
- Keep each finding in the section where I recorded it.
- Mark unclear words as [CHECK] instead of guessing.
- Don't add repair costs or code citations unless I gave them.

Checkpoint: Show the section headings with a one-line count of findings before writing the full draft.

If you get stuck: If a clip is missing for a section, list the section as 'no notes recorded'.

Verify before you finish: Every finding in the draft traces back to a line in the transcript.

Output: A report draft in my format plus a short list of [CHECK] items.

Done when: I review and send the report the same day instead of writing it from scratch.

Outcome

Brian Fisher, who runs a one-man home inspection business and doesn't write code, records one voice clip per area of the house on site, from roof to plumbing, through a simple web app on an iPhone. Whisper transcribes the clips, Claude turns the transcript into a first-draft report in Fisher's format and a professional inspector's voice, and a Python script files the draft in the job folder and emails it, usually before Fisher is back in the truck. Fisher built the rest of the business the same way by describing needs to Claude in plain English: scripts that set up job folders, checklists and property research, sort tagged photos, update an Excel tracker that drives invoices, and send a morning summary plus weekly and monthly financial reports. Fisher now runs 3 to 4 inspections a day alone and gets about 3x the work done.
