Passainte Assem relied on ChatGPT for a Bosnia to Montenegro trip; it got train info wrong and ignored a knee injury and a no-pork diet.

  4. Send it, then read the answer before acting on it.

A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

Prompt

Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Plan my trip from Sarajevo to Mostar and on to Montenegro using buses and trains, no driving. I'm recovering from a knee injury, so suggest only gentle hikes, and I don't eat pork. Include timetables, how to buy tickets and where to eat.

Try this in:

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Plan a multi-country trip by public transport that respects my health limits and diet, and mark which details I must confirm locally.

Questions to ask me first:
- Which cities and dates, and in what order?
- What physical limits should every activity respect?
- Any food rules I should follow?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Route and dates: [CITIES / DATES]
- Transport: [BUS / TRAIN, NO DRIVING]
- Physical limits: [FOR EXAMPLE KNEE INJURY, NO STEEP STEPS]
- Food rules: [FOR EXAMPLE NO PORK]
- Budget: [AMOUNT]

Rules:
- Check every hike and activity against my physical limits, and describe the terrain.
- Check every restaurant against my food rules.
- For each bus or train, give the source and date of the timetable, and say if you can't find one.
- Note how tickets are bought, whether they must be printed and whether stations charge extra fees.
- Mark anything you couldn't confirm as unverified.

Checkpoint: Show me the route and transport plan first, before activities and food.

If you get stuck: If a timetable, payment rule or opening hour isn't on an official or recent source, tell me to confirm it locally instead of guessing.

Verify before you finish: Before finishing, recheck each suggestion against my limits and food rules.

Output: A day-by-day plan with transport, tickets, gentle activities and suitable food, plus a list of details to confirm.

Done when: I have a plan that fits my limits and a short list of things to double-check locally.

ChatGPT

Outcome

Passainte Assem, an Egypt travel planner, tested ChatGPT by relying on it for a trip through Bosnia to Montenegro by public transport, and kept proving it wrong while fact-checking. Told about a knee injury and a wish for a gentle hike, ChatGPT suggested the St. Giovanni hike in Kotor, which is very hilly and mostly steps. Told that Assem is Muslim and doesn't eat pork, it still recommended barbecue places serving mostly pork grills in Kotor. It couldn't provide the Sarajevo to Mostar train timetable, which Assem found through Facebook groups and Reddit instead. It said Sarajevo station didn't take credit cards and gave the wrong opening hours, both of which a hostel host disproved by calling the station. It also never mentioned that bus tickets bought online had to be printed or that some stations charge a fee on top.

Evidence: Described by posterThe person describes what happened in words, without screenshots or video.

Known limitations

FailureThe source says the AI did not get the job done.

What went wrong: ChatGPT ignored stated health and diet limits and gave wrong or missing transport details that local sources had to fix.

Context: Assem sells Egypt trip planning and wrote the post partly to show why a human planner helps, so read it with that in mind. The exact prompts aren't quoted, so the prompt here is recreated.
