New to this? What's a prompt?

A prompt is the message you send to the AI tool. Copy the one on this page, put your own details where it asks, and read the answer before you act on it.

Prompt

Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote one from what it describes. The result shown is the source's, not ours.

What the prompt labels mean

The person didn't share their exact words, so we wrote this from what they described. We haven't tested it, and they didn't use this exact version.

Check my inbox for new news releases. For each one, write a short news story in our house style from the release, flag any claim that needs checking, request a graphic if the release has no image, and load the draft into the website's backend as unpublished so I can edit and approve it.

Try this in:

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

Optional stronger version

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Turn incoming news releases into draft stories I only need to edit and approve.

Questions to ask me first:
- Which inbox and website backend do you use?
- What's your house style, and what length do stories run?
- What must never go live without your review?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Inbox: [ADDRESS OR FOLDER]
- Website backend: [CMS NAME]
- House style: [STYLE NOTES OR EXAMPLE STORIES]
- Image source: [E.G. GEMINI FOR GRAPHICS]

Rules:
- Nothing publishes without my approval.
- Use only facts in the release; flag claims that need checking.
- Label AI-made graphics as illustrations, not photos.
- Skip releases that are pure advertising and list them for me.

Checkpoint: Draft the first story and stop so I can check the style.

If you get stuck: If a release is unclear or missing key facts, list the questions instead of writing around them.

Verify before you finish: Each draft's names, numbers and dates match the release.

Output: Unpublished drafts in the backend plus a daily list: release, draft headline, status.

Done when: I spend my time editing and approving, not typing up releases.

Outcome

Martin Bachman runs a newsroom of one and over two months built five automated news websites with Claude and Gemini, with Claude building more than 40 automations. For news releases, Claude checks the inbox every half hour, writes or edits the story, asks Gemini for a graphic when there's no art, and loads the story into the site's backend, where Bachman edits and approves it. Claude writes everything from weather reports and sports recaps to city council meetings. Bachman used to struggle to post eight stories a day, five days a week, and now publishes seven days a week with a morning e-edition, with daily posts reaching as many as 27 stories so far.

Evidence: Described by posterThe person describes what happened in words, without screenshots or video.
