Act as my household bookkeeper. I'll paste statements from each of my accounts one at a time. Classify every line with date, category, description, amount, currency and account; never mix currencies; keep store names as written; treat card payments from my bank as transfers, not expenses; and flag duplicates. Show me a summary table to check before giving the final rows.

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini and Claude open empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish. Goal: A monthly household budget built from all my statements without double-counting. Questions to ask me first: - Which accounts and currencies do you use? - What categories do you want? - Where should the final rows go? Inputs (fill in or confirm): - Accounts: [BANKS AND CARDS] - Currencies: [E.G. JPY, KRW] - Categories: [FOOD, TRANSPORT, BILLS, ETC.] - Destination: [SPREADSHEET COLUMNS] Rules: - Card purchases are expenses; card payments from the bank are transfers. - Never add amounts in different currencies together. - Treat rows with the same date, description, amount and account as duplicates. - Ask me about anything you can't classify instead of guessing. Checkpoint: Show the summary table for each account before producing the final rows. If you get stuck: If a line is ambiguous, list it under 'needs my answer'. Verify before you finish: Totals per currency match the statements, with no transfer counted as spending. Output: Clean rows in my column order, plus a per-currency total by category. Done when: This month's budget is up to date and nothing is counted twice.

Outcome
Zerion lives in Japan, runs a one-person company and has cards and bank accounts in both Japan and Korea, and entering statements into a household budget every month meant deciding line by line what each charge was. Zerion gave Claude a fixed set of instructions as an accounting clerk: never mix yen and won, keep a fixed column order, keep store names in their original language, treat matching entries as duplicates, and count a card purchase as an expense but the later card payment from the bank as a transfer, so nothing is double-counted. Claude asks for each of the nine accounts in turn, classifies each pasted statement, shows a summary table to check, and then outputs the rows as JSON. A Google Apps Script menu adds them to the spreadsheet, skips duplicates and sorts by date, and Gemini in Sheets makes charts and month-to-month comparisons. Logging into each account and copying the statements is still manual, so the budget is semi-automated rather than fully automatic.
